Our goal is to advance national-scope initiatives that integrate technology to improve and increase access to crime victim services. Victim service practitioners are increasingly taking advantage of the ubiquity and familiarity of mobile phones/Internet and the acceptability of its use across diverse ages, racial/ethnic groups, and sexual/gender identities to provide timely services with privacy, flexibility, interactivity, and spontaneity in access. The myPlan app, a web-based safety planning app for victims of intimate partner violence (IPV), is a tool for both IPV victims and service providers to support tailored safety strategies to reduce the risk of repeat violence in abusive relationships.
