Baltimore launches ‘bad batch’ text-alert system for overdoses

Two Code in the Schools student programmers David Gatewood, 18, and Davon Harris, 18, have created a text-messaging service that alerts residents about the presence of fatal “bad batches” of drugs in the neighborhood.

Baltimore health officials have launched the service. Susan Sherman is quoted here.
